This morning my Grandfather asked my Aunt to deliver me a HUGE and rather odd looking bottle filled with brewed chrysanthemum tea. It has a label on it that says, “Health Drink for Gene” and beneath it, in bold letters, it says “GONG GONG CHA”. 0.0
If you don’t know what that means, it literally means “Grandfather Tea”. Hahaha! That made me laugh. The sweet, funny little things my grandfather does for me. =)
No matter how serious life gets, you still gotta have that one person you can be completely stupid with.
I’ve always been a very curious person by nature. I often find myself pondering over a whole array of issues; past, present and future. Sometimes I wonder what holds for us in the future. As we age, what are the changes that take place? Would we even take notice of the changes in ourselves? This is something I’ve put much thought into, and I enjoy ‘interviewing’ older people about their personal experiences and thoughts about this at every possible opportunity.
This morning, I asked my Aunt,
“How different were you, say, around 15 years ago, as compared to now?”.
Her reply took me by surprise. She paused for awhile and said,
“Well, 15 years ago I loved you a lot, and today I love you just as much, so I guess I’ve not changed very much afterall.”
Sometimes I am reminded of how blessed I am to have such a loving and supportive family. =)
Let’s love, laugh, create, persevere, praise, heal, give, act, grow, pray and LIVE! =D
I saw this from “theflightout”! I thought it’s simple but meaningful, but there was a lot of space. So I’d adjust it a little and share it with you wonderful people!
Whitney Houston- Run To You
This is another song I absolutely love, from a singer I absolutely adore. Whitney Houston is, without a doubt, one of the greatest singers in the world. She is right up there with the historic greats like Patti LaBelle, Gladys Knight and Aretha Franklin. She has the voice, the class and the poise it takes. I guess you could say she had the right influences too. She is the daughter of gospel singer, Cissy Houston, and the cousin of another musical legend, Dionne Warwick. She is also the god daughter of the “Queen of Soul” herself, Aretha Franklin!
This song is from “The Bodyguard: Original Soundtrack Album” which is the soundtrack from the movie, “The Bodyguard”. Although the movie received mostly negative reviews, it was a huge commercial success, and its soundtrack album remains the best selling soundtrack of all time (it has sold more than 44 million copies to date). The album is also one of my personal favorites, and in my opinion, Whitney’s magnum opus.
I know, that when you look at me,
There’s so much that you just don’t see,
But if you would only take the time,
I know in my heart you’ll find,
Someone who’s scared sometimes,
Who isn’t always strong,
Can you see the hurt in me,
I feel so alone.
I wanna run to you.
